Paffett on pole at Adria

Gary Paffett has taken his second pole position of the season at Adria, and will lead team-mate Bruno Spengler at the start tomorrow.

Paffett, who is third in the championship 14 points behind leader Paul Di Resta, set a best lap of 1:10.471 in the final segment of qualifying to claim pole position. Di Resta will start sixth.

Mattias Ekstrom was the best of the Audi drivers, and will start third.

Reigning champion Timo Scheider wasn’t able to progress past the first segment of qualifying, and will start 15th, sandwiched between the two ex-Formula 1 drivers Ralf Schumacher and David Coulthard.
