F3 champion Mortara set for Audi test

Newly crowned Formula 3 Euro Series champion Edoardo Mortara is going to test an Audi A4 DTM as a prize for clinching the title.
“I’ll try to give my very best. My Formula 3 Euro series season was really good and now, I want to confirm this performance in the cockpit of a DTM car,” said Mortara.

Mortara got to drive an older Audi A4 DTM in a six hour endurance race at Brno earlier this year as a preparation for the test.

“Both the car and the tyres weren’t the ones I’m going to use during the test but the race offered me the chance of familiarizing myself with such a touring car, nevertheless. Furthermore, my participation in the 6-hour race definitely was a great present made by Volkswagen and Audi,” said Mortara.

The young Italian is looking forward to the test and hopes that it could open a door for him in the German series.

“DTM is a highly professional racing series and a manufacturer such as Audi offers its drivers numerous possibilities. Being a part of the Audi squad sometime would be great,” said Mortara.
