Alexandre Prémat hunts BMW drive

Alexandre Prémat is on the hunt for a BMW drive in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters 2012.
“There is only BMW coming in for now, so I will get in contact with them. I have four years of experience, so maybe it’s good for them to have a driver who has already driven in DTM,” said Prémat to Autosport.

The Frenchman was dropped from Audi after a huge crash in the penultimate DTM race of 2010 at Adria in Italy.

Prémat is most likely to be left outside DTM for 2011 and is instead hunting a sportscar-drive for the coming season.

“I’m working hard to find a good seat. There is nothing in DTM for 2011, so I’m working to drive in sportscars. There are still some good drives available, so we are talking,” said Prémat.

Prémat finished 11th in DTM this year with a third place in Valencia as his best finish.
