Paul Di Resta confirmed for Force India
Reigning Deutsche Tourwenwagen Masters champion has been confirmed to drive for Force India in Formula One 2011.
“Last year I became third driver here and good things happened, so here’s hoping we get more good things,” said di Resta to Autosport.
Di Resta has been test driver for Force India since 2009, along side his DTM program with Mercedes. The Scot secured the DTM title last season, four points ahead of his team mate Gary Paffett.
Di Resta’s team mate in Formula One is going to be Adrian Sutil while former Williams driver Nico Hülkenberg is going to be the new third driver in the team.
The replacement for Di Resta at Mercedes for the DTM 2011 season is yet to be confirmed. Dutchman Robert Doornbos has confirmed that he is in talks with Mercedes as a potential replacement.
