DTM goes HD in 2011

The Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters is going to be broadcasted in the high-definition format HDTV 1080i50 for 2011. The long-term DTM TV partner WIGE Media AG is going to continue the production of the TV coverage.

The first HD broadcast is going to be for the official season launch on the 10th of april in Wiesbaden.

German TV channel ARD is going to broadcast saturday and sunday live in the new HD format. Last season DTM was broadcasted by 283 stations in 213 countries making the total broadcasting hours 5,881.
