DMS reduces program to one car for Alx Danielsson

Danielsson Motorsport revealed their programme for the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship 2011 yesterday. The team has been forced to cut back to one SEAT León compared to the original plans for two cars.

Alx Danielsson is going to drive the sole SEAT of the team with start from the second STCC race of the year at Knutstorp.

“This is going to be a lot of fun and a great challenge. We are going to do our first real test in a few days and then we are going to see just how steep our learning curve is going to be,” said Danielsson.

The team was unable to run a second car due to a last minute sponsor withdrawal. Former Junior Touring Car Championship driver Rasmus Mårthen was originally planned for the second SEAT.

“Just the day before our press conference, both of my main sponsors jumped off after five months of planning. My aim is still to get something going for the season, even if it is not going to be STCC as originally planned,” said Mårthen.
