Schumacher tops Hockenheim warm-up
Ralf Schumacher was the man to beat in the morning warm-up session at Hockenheim. The Salzgitter AMG Mercedes-driver lapped the track in 1:34.532, just 0.056 seconds ahead of fellow Mercedes driver Maro Engel and 0.145 seconds ahead of Gary Paffett.
Martin Tomczyk was best Audi driver in fourth, two tenths from Schumacher, with Bruno Spengler right behind in fifth.
Mike Rockenfeller headed the two DTM newcomers Christian Vietoris and Renger van der Zande in seventh.
Timo Scheider and Filipe Alburquerque rounded off top ten. 16 cars were within one second of the best time, with a total of 18 cars taking part in the session.
