Scheider heads Audi 1-2-3-4 at Zandvoort

Timo Scheider headed an Audi 1-2-3-4 in the first free practice at Zandvoort. The double champion lapped the track in 1:32.708, close to half a second faster than his closest opponent.

Martin Tomczyk set the closest time, 0.474 seconds behind. Mattias Ekström and Edoardo Mortara completed the Audi top four.

Best Mercedes driver was former F1 driver David Coulthard, seven tenths behind the fastest time of the session.

Coulthard headed five Mercedes drivers with Christian Vietoris in sixth, Renger van der Zande in seventh, Jamie Green in eighth and Gary Paffett in ninth.

Audi man Oliver Jarvis rounded off top ten, 1.2 seconds slower than Scheider.
