Mortara ahead of Vietoris at Red Bull Ring

Edoardo Mortara headed the first free practice at Red Bull Ring in Austria. The Audi driver lapped the track in 1:26.780, just over one tenth faster than Mercedes newcomer Christian Vietoris.

Filipe Albuquerque was third fastest, two tenths from Mortara, with former F1 racer David Coulthard in fourth.

Martin Tomczyk headed fellow Audi driver Mike Rockenfeller in sixth and Mercedes drival Maro Engel in ninth.

Miguel Molina was the final Audi drive in the top ten, eight tenths off the fastest time of the session, with Renger van der Zande and Susie Stoddart rounding off top ten.
