Ekström leads Audi double at Norisring

Audi drivers Mattias Ekström and Oliver Jarvis headed the first free practice session at Norisring. Ekström lapped the track in 48.867, just 15 thousands of a second ahead of Jarvis.

Maro Engel was best Mercedes driver, heading four of his manufacturer colleagues in the form of Christian Vietoris in fourth, Bruno Spengler in fifth, Susie Stoddard in sixth and Gary Paffett in seventh.

Championship leader Martin Tomczyk was eighth fastest, 0.295 seconds behind, with Renger van der Zande and Timo Scheider rounding off top ten.
