Bruno Spengler on pole at Norisring

Bruno Spengler secured pole position and a Mercedes 1-2-3 at Norisring in Germany. The Canadian lapped the city track in 48.222, about two tenths faster than Gary Paffett and about three tenths faster than Jamie Green.

Mattias Ekström was best Audi driver once again in fourth ahead of last year’s pole position man Ralf Schumacher in fifth.

Maro Engel secured sixth on the grid ahead of double DTM champion and Audi Sport Team Abt driver Timo Scheider.

Edoardo Mortara, Miguel Molina and championship leader Martin Tomczyk rounded off top ten.
