Ekström fastest again in morning warm up

Mattias Ekström was on top again as the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters field headed out to the warm up session at Nürburgring. The Swede was 0.155 seconds faster than Filipe Albuquerque in the Audi Sport Team Rosberg-prepared A4.

Jamie Green was fastest Mercedes driver in third, 0.024 seconds ahead of Edoardo Mortara.

Martin Tomczyk claimed fifth fastest time ahead of Gary Paffett and David Coulthard. Timo Scheider, Bruno Spengler and Renger van der Zande rounded off top ten.

The session was held in dry conditions, but was halted early because of a lose kerb. The damaged track surface came lose and hit the Audi A4 of Edoardo Mortara, causing some damage.
