Christian Bakkerud dies in car crash

Former DTM racer Christian Bakkerud died in a car crash two days ago. The Dane crashed a road car in Wimbeldon, UK, and sustained brain damage.

The 26-year-old Dane raced in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters for Audi with team Kolles Futurecom in 2009, driving a 2007 specification Audi A4.

Bakkerud’s last major race was the Le Mans 24 hours of 2010, driving an Audi R10.
