Schumacher gets grid penalty for Valencia

Ralf Schumacher has been awarded with a grid three place grid penalty for the coming DTM race at Valencia. The penalty was awarded an incident where Schumacher rejoined the track after spinning off and collected Filipe Albuquerque.

“I don’t actually know what went on in the collision with Filipe Albuquerque. He made contact with my rear off-side, but I didn’t really notice, because I was focused on what was happening in front of me,” said Schumacher.

The former F1 driver also came close to colliding with team mate Jamie Green, but was closely missed. Audi driver Oliver Jarvis was also involved in the incident, but without any major damage.

Schumacher retired due to damage from the incident with Albuquerque.
