A Spaniard on top in Spain

Spaniard Miguel Molina topped the first DTM practice session at Valencia in Spain. The Audi driver lapped the track in 1:31.770, a time that was 0.041 seconds faster than Mercedes driver Gary Paffett in second.

Last race winner Mattias Ekström was third fastest, 0.261 seconds behind Molina, with three Mercedes drivers right behind.

Ralf Schumacher headed Jamie Green and title candidate Bruno Spengler in fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.

Timo Scheider was seventh fastest ahead of Renger van der Zande and Filipe Albuquerque. Championship leader Martin Tomczyk rounded off top ten, 0.542 seconds behind.
