Miguel Molina back on top in warm up
Miguel Molina climbed back on the top spot in the morning warm up session at Valencia. The Spaniard was quickest in FP1 and FP2, but dropped to sixth in qualifying. The warm up saw Molina lapping the track in 1:31.242, 0.086 seconds faster than pole man Mattias Ekström.
The Audi domination continues with the four rings occupying the top five places. Championship leader Martin Tomczyk was third fastest ahead of Timo Scheider and Edoardo Mortara.
Gary Paffett was best Mercedes driver in sixth ahead of Oliver Jarvis, Ralf Schumacher and Filipe Albuquerque.
Mercedes title hope Bruno Spengler was tenth fastest, just over seven tenths from Molina’s time. Spengler has got a tough job from 13th on the grid with Tomczyk in eleventh.
Tomczyk heads Spengler with nine points ahead of the race this weekend and the Audi driver could be come champion if…
