Jamie Green takes first win in final race of 2011
Jamie Green won the final race of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters 2011, his first since Norisring last year, and the final race of the current regulations. The Brit claimed the lead early on to win the race over seven seconds ahead of champion Martin Tomczyk.
Pole position man Miguel Molina dropped two positions to third and claimed his first ever DTM podium finish, ten seconds behind race winner Green.
Mike Rockenfeller finished fourth ahead of Gary Paffett. Mattias Ekström climbed from tenth on the grid to sixth over the finishing line, scoring three points which was enough to pass Bruno Spengler for second in the championship.
Spengler started ahead of Ekström but made a mistake on the opening lap, dropping to ninth and outside the points.
Timo Scheider and Oliver Jarvis were between Ekström and Spengler in seventh and eighth, with Filipe Albuquerque rounding off the top ten.
