Miguel Molina stays on top in morning warm-up

Pole position man Miguel Molina topped the morning warm-up session at Hockenheim, 0.244 seconds ahead of Martin Tomczyk. Championship runner-up candidate Bruno Spengler showed promising form in third as best Mercedes driver, 0.261 seconds from Molina.

Timo Scheider was fourth fastest ahead of Jamie Green and Edoardo Mortara. Gary Paffett headed Mattias Ekström in seventh and eighth, ahead of Filipe Albuquerque and David Coulthard.

The main fight for the final race of the year later today stands between Spengler and Ekström for second in the championship. Spengler heads Ekström with just two points, but the job is up to Ekström who starts tenth while Spengler starts four positions ahead.
