Five DTM drivers set for Race of Champions 2011

Five current, past and coming DTM drivers are set to take part in the 2011 Race of Champions: Andy Priaulx, Mattias Ekström, Timo Scheider, Martin Tomczyk and Tom Kristensen.

Scheider, who makes his first ever RoC appearance, is going to partner up with German F1-driver Timo Glock in Team Germany 2.

“I think that my team-mate, Timo Glock, is an incredibly fast driver and that we will not only have a lot of fun together but also will be a competitive team. I definitely will give my very best to be fast and successful, in my first Race Of Champions,” said Scheider.

Priaulx is going to drive together with fellow Brit and McLaren Formula One driver Jenson Button for Team Britain, Ekström and Kristensen will form Team Scandinavia while DTM champion Tomczyk only is going to take part in the run for drivers’ title.

The event will be held in Düsseldorf 3-4 December.
