Big crowds at rainy DTM presentation in Wiesbaden
72 000 fans gathered at the DTM 2012 presentation in Wiesbaden, Germany, despite rainy weather to see the new Audi A5, BMW M3 and Mercedes AMG C-Coupé.
“The DTM is known for being very close to the fans anyway, and we are getting really close here in Wiesbaden. Talking with the fans in this great atmosphere is really fun,” said Audi driver Timo Scheider.
The event featured interviews and autograph sessions with the drivers as well as pit stop competition and demo laps of the new cars on the streets of Wiesbaden.
“Seeing the excitements of the fans is a great experience and makes the anticipaton of the first round next Sunday even bigger,” said Mercedes driver Gary Paffett.
The season kicks off at Hockenheim this weekend with a lot of question marks on which manufacturer, team or driver to be expected in the top.
