Ekström heads Audi 1-2-3 in Spielberg warm up

Mattias Ekström headed an Audi 1-2-3 in the warm up session at Red Bull Ring Spielberg. The Swede lapped the track in 1:27.300, about two tenths faster than Edoardo Mortara and three tenths faster than Filipe Albuquerque.

Gary Paffett was best Mercedes driver in fourth, 0.403 seconds behind, with top BMW driver in fifth in the form of Martin Tomczyk, 0.419 seconds behind.

Christian Vietoris was first driver outside the top five, ahead of Adrien Tambay and Roberto Merhi. Mike Rockenfeller and Miguel Molina rounded off the top ten.

19 cars were within one second during the session, while the three BMW drivers Joey Hand, Andy Priaulx and Augusto Farfus Jr. were unable to get within the second in places 20th, 21st and 22nd.
