New race weekend schedule for DTM
The DTM organisation has changed the race weekend schedule for the 2013 DTM season.
“With the new time schedule, the DTM becomes even more surprising and thus also more thrilling, both for the fans at the race tracks and at home in front of the television screens,” said Hans Werner Aufrecht, chairman of the DTM rights holder and promoter ITR e.V.
The start of the race has been moved to 13.30 CET on Sundays and the start of qualifying on Saturdays has been moved to 14.40. The practice sessions on Fridays have been removed and the DTM drivers will only have 90 minutes of practice on Saturday before qualifying.
“At the same time, we are becoming more service-oriented and show an open sporting spirit: for instance, with the new TV times, we enable motorsport fans to watch the rounds of the Motorcycle World Championship, too,” said Aufrecht.
All races will be broadcasted live by DTM TV partner ARD.
