Gary Paffett to run with Euronics branding this year

Former DTM champion Gary Paffett will run a new livery for the 2013 season, carrying the colours of German-based electrical retail firm Euronics.

The 31-year-old will carry the blue and yellow livery on his Mercedes AMG C-Coupé this season, instead of the predominantly black Thomas Sabo livery of the past two seasons. Paffett finished as runner-up in the standings last season to BMW rival Bruno Spengler in a nail-biting finale at Hockenheim.

The 2005 DTM champion will be part of a smaller six car Mercedes-Benz programme this season, and will continue to be the most experienced driver at the team. Paffett’s chief rival within the team in recent years has been fellow Briton Jamie Green, who has now joined Audi for 2013.

Paffett will also be continuing in his role as test driver for the McLaren Formula One team, a role he began in 2005.
