Audi reveals new RS 5 DTM and driver line-up

Audi has revealed the look of their 2013 DTM racer in the form of the RS 5 DTM at the Geneva Motor Show.
“The abbreviation ‘RS’ stands for the sportiest Audi models. The performance data of the current RS 5 and RS 5 DTM are very similar. This is why we are of the opinion that both fit perfectly to one another,” said Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich, head of Audi Motorsport.

The driver line-up was also revealed with Jamie Green being assigned team mate to Mattias Ekström at Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline.

“I already feel at home here at Audi and can hardly wait to contest my first DTM race for the four rings,” said Green.

Timo Scheider and Adrien Tambay will race for Audi Sport Team Abt, Miguel Molina and Mike Rockenfeller for Audi Sport Team Phoenix and Filipe Albuquerque and Edoardo Mortara for Audi Sport Team Rosberg.

The DTM season starts at Hockenheim as usual on the 5th of May.
