Audi dominates Oschersleben free practice

Audi dominated the practice session of the second round of the 2014 DTM season at Oschersleben, with five of its drivers finishing in the top six.

Abt Audi’s Miguel Molina topped the time sheets, ahead of BMW’s Marco Wittmann who won the 2014 DTM season opener.

Britain’s Jamie Green wound up third in his Rosberg Audi, ahead of the 2013 DTM title winner Mike Rockenfeller.

Molina’s Abt Audi team-mate Edoardo Mortara was fifth ahead of double DTM champion Timo Scheider who rounded out the top six in his Phoenix prepared Audi RS 5 DTM.

Mercedes once again had another mediocre session with the majority of its cars languishing towards the bottom of the pack. However, HWA drivers Pascal Wehrlein finished eighth and tenth.

MTEK BMW’s Timo Glock was at the bottom of the 23-driver pack, after managing just three laps in the 90-minute session as a result of a technical issue with his BMW M4 DTM.
