Pole sitter Molina demoted to last place

Audi’s Miguel Molina has been stripped of his Oschersleben pole position.

The Abt Audi driver was just over 0.5 seconds quicker than BMW’s Marco Wittmann who was promoted to pole.

Molina will now start from 23rd and last on the grid, meaning the rest of the grid is promoted up a position.

Molina’s car was found to have  2.7 millimeters overhang on the rear wing.
