Nico Müller: “I think my situation will be much better”
Audi DTM rookie Nico Müller predicts a better weekend for himself at the upcoming Hungaroring race which takes place over the weekend of June 1.
The Phoenix Audi driver moved to the DTM from Formula Renault 3.5 for this season, and at Oschersleben almost scored a point.
The young Swiss then dropped out of contention following a mistake in the tricky wet conditions.
However, Müller believes he will be able to perform better in this weekend’s race at the Hungaroring due to experience in lower formulas.
“I think my situation will be much better in Hungary, but not in consequence to the test, because all other guys were also testing there,” Müller told TouringCarTimes.
“I hope I can benefit from my experiences on the Hungaroring, which I made in the lower series.”
Müller added he would give himself seven-out-of-10 for the start to his DTM career, but admitted he still needs to learn more about the series.
“I would give 7 points to myself – I think the pace is good, but I have to learn more about the DTM.
“Overall, it’s close to that what I have expected prior the season.”
