BMW DTM pairing handed post-Norisring penalties

The BMW DTM pairing of Martin Tomczyk and Antonio Felix da Costa have been hit with post-race penalties for the next round of the 2014 DTM season, which takes place in Moscow.

Martin Tomczyk will take a three-place grid penalty in Moscow after the stewards decided he was responsible for the clash with Gary Paffett on lap 58.

While Tomczyk retired, Paffett was able to continue but finished 12th and out of the points.

Tomczyk’s BMW stable-mate, Antonio Felix da Costa, was issued a 30 second time penalty after failing to slow sufficiently in a yellow flag zone.

The decision makes no difference to the da Costa’s race as he finished the race 20th overall.
