Nico Müller heads second Moscow practice
DTM rookie Nico Müller topped the second free practice session of the day at Moscow Raceway, less than a tenth of a second ahead of Mike Rockenfeller.
The Swiss driver led an Audi 1-2-3 in the second of the hour-long practice sessions, and was the only driver to dip below the 1.29s mark in either.
Müller’s best effort of 1.28.993 was 0.084 faster than Rockenfeller, with Mattias Ekstrom 0.119 behind.
Maxime Martin was the best of the BMWs in fourth, ahead of stable-mate Timo Glock, with Miguel Molina, Marco Wittman, Bruno Spengler, Gary Paffett and Daniel Juncadella completing the top 10.
Vitaly Petrov was the slowest of the drivers who ran in the session, 1.535s off the pace in 22nd, while BMW’s Antonio Felix da Costa didn’t complete a flying lap.
Paul di Resta could do no better than 17th after propping up the timesheets in his Mercedes in the first session.
Qualifying takes place at 18:40 local time.
