Edoardo Mortara sent to the back of the grid
Audi’s Edoardo Mortara, who had qualified on third place for today’s race starting grid, has been handed a penalty by the Stewards, who have sent him to the back of the grid.
The Scrutineers found the front diffuser on Mortara’s RS 5 DTM to be mounted too low, according to the limits established in Article 3.7 of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters Technical Regulations.
As a result, Mortara will now start from the back of the grid, promoting everybody else behind him one position. After Mattias Ekström’s penalty yesterday, Jamie Green will now start from third position.
