Miguel Molina penalised for collision with Paffett

Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline driver Miguel Molina has been penalised for the incident with Mercedes’ Gary Paffett in the third lap of today’s Race 1.

Molina came into the inside of Paffett, colliding together and with both drivers spinning on the track. The incident caused the Safety Car to come into action, with Paffett having to retire due to the damage to his C63 DTM.

The stewards found Molina responsible for the collision, and handed the Spaniard a 30-second penalty, which dropped him from 14^th to 17^th place in the final classification.
