Daniel Juncadella penalised after contact with Timo Glock

Mercedes AMG’s Daniel Juncadella had a brief race yesterday, which was finished after just three laps when the Spaniard collided with Timo Glock, with both drivers having to retire.

Juncadella, who turned 25 yesterday, was trying to recover positions after a poor start and went into Glock’s inside at the Motodrom entrance. Both collided and ended up on the gravel trap, ending their race at that point.

The stewards found the HWA driver responsible for the incident and gave him a 3-position grid penalty for today’s race as a result.

DTM on track action starts today at 10:00 CEST for the third free practice session.
