Jamie Green excluded from Saturday’s race at the Hungaroring

Audi Sport driver Jamie Green has been excluded from the results of Saturday’s race at the Hungaroring because of a technical infringement.

The investigation started because of a formal protest lodged by Mercedes AMG.

The stewards found that a gap in the front diffuser in Jamie Green’s car had been sealed, which is not permitted under article 2.10.1 of the technical regulations, which establishes this is one of the standard components to all manufacturers and, consequently, cannot be modified.

The result is that Jamie Green, who had finished the race in seventh position, has now been excluded. No decision has been made about the following cars moving up in the final classification, as Team Rosberg has been given until 22:46 CET to appeal the decision.

Jamie Green made no comment as he left the Hungaroring.
