Bruno Spengler to participate in the Formula E rookie tests at Marrakech

BMW Motorsport driver Bruno Spengler will take part in the Formula E rookie tests at Marrakech on the 14th of January at the wheel of a single seater from the MS&AD Andretti team, partner of the Bavarian manufacturer in the series.

“I’m really looking forward to having the opportunity to get to know a completely new style of racing for me,” said Spengler.

“Formula E is a really exciting race series, which will no doubt become even more popular over the next few years. I’m always keen to gain experience of other series in addition to the DTM. I am interested to see how the Formula E car drives. After all, it’s 13 years since I was last in a single-seater car in Formula 3.”

Spengler will be joined by IndyLights driver Colton Herta. The day before the test, Spengler’s former team-mates in the DTM António Félix Da Costa and Tom Blomqvist will drive the cars in the third round of the FIA Formula E, with the Briton making his debut in the series after being ditched from the DTM team for the 2018 season.
