Kang Dong Woo gains Yeongam Race 2 pole after penalty for Diego Moran
Kang Dong Woo will start tomorrow’s second race from pole position after Engstler Motorsport’s Diego Moran lost his third fastest time due to a track limits infringement.
Moran was judged to have cut the track on his fastest lap in Qualifying 2, and with the time deleted he now drops to 11th in the order, promoting Kang Dong Woo to tenth and therefore pole position for the reversed grid in his KMSA Motorsport Hyundai i30 N TCR.
The revised result promotes championship leader Mitchell Cheah to third for tomorrow’s first race in his Engstler Volkswagen, behind team-mate Luca Engstler and the pole-sitting Cupra TCR of returning champion Kantadhee Kusiri.
