Ex-F1 racer Sergey Sirotkin added to Audi test line-up

Russian driver Sergey Sirotkin has been added to the driver line-up for the DTM Young Driver Test taking place at the Jerez circuit in Spain.

Sirotkin, who lost his drive with the Williams F1 team after it announced the signing of Robert Kubica last month, has been given the chance to sample a DTM car after being called up by Audi.

The 23-year-old joins Frédéric Vervisch, Benoît Tréluyer, Andreas Bakkerud, Mattia Drudi, Jonathan Aberdein and Sacha Fenestraz in spending time at the wheel of a 2018-spec RS 5 DTM during the test, which runs until Wednesday.

BMW is running four drivers as it works to decide who will fill the final seat in its 2019 line-up, with Mercedes also on track for the final time before departing the series with four drivers of its own.
