TCR Asia announce postponed season premiere

The TCR Asia championship promoter Motorsport Asia has announced to postpone the season premiere, scheduled for April 10-12 at Sepang in Malaysia, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“We are monitoring the developments on a regular basis and making contingency plans to begin the season as soon as the situation becomes safe and is under control, and travel restrictions are lifted,” said David Sonenscher, CEO of Motorsport Asia.

“It is our hope that this will happen sooner rather than later, however, we can confirm that it is our intention to run a full season of five TCR Asia events, as originally planned.”

The next scheduled race weekend is Zhejiang on May 29-31.
