Nico Müller heads Philipp Eng in opening Lausitzring practice

Points leader Nico Müller headed BMW driver Philipp Eng in the first free practice session of the DTM weekend at the Lausitzring.

The Audi driver was just over half a second quicker than Eng, with Audi colleague Jamie Green in third place, seven-tenths behind.

WRT driver Ferdinand Habsburg was fourth fastest ahead of Team Rosberg’s René Rast in fifth.

Robin Frijns, currently placed second overall, was sixth fastest, 0.813 from Müller, ahead of Loïc Duval and Marco Wittmann that rounded off the top eight.

Next up is the second free practice session, starting at 14:55 CEST.
