Loïc Duval heads Audi 1-2-3-4 in first Assen practice

Loïc Duval headed an Audi 1-2-3-4 in the first free practice session of the DTM weekend at Assen in the Netherlands.

The Frenchman was over three tenths ahead of the Abt Sportsline duo of Nico Müller and Robin Frijns. Reigning champion René Rast claimed fourth spot, just below six tenths from Duval.

Timo Glock was fastest of the BMW drivers for Team RMG ahead of manufacturer colleague Philipp Eng of Team RBM.

Jamie Green and Marco Wittmann rounded off the top eight, 0.906 and 0.927 seconds behind respectively.

Next up is the second free practice session, starting at 15:40 CEST.
