Marco Wittmann and Nico Müller set identical times in first Nürburgring practice

Marco Wittmann and Nico Müller set identical lap times during the first free practice session of the DTM weekend at the Nürburgring.

BMW Team RMG driver Wittmann was first to set his time, 1:48.113, thus earning the top position ahead of championship leader Müller.

Timo Glock made it two BMWs in the top three with the third fastest time of the session, 0.159 seconds behind.

Robin Frijns claimed fourth position ahead of three Audi colleagues in the form of Jamie Green, Loïc Duval and Mike Rockenfeller.

BMW Team RBM driver Philipp Eng rounded off the top eight, 0.716 seconds from the top time.

The second free practice session of the Nürburgring weekend starts at 16:30 CEST today.
