PWR Racing extends contract with Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky

PWR Racing has extended its contract with Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky, the first female STCC race winner, for another two years.

“I have together with PWR reached the dream to as first female driver win a race in the STCC, now I’m looking forward to work with them towards my next dream, to as first female win the championship,” said Åhlin-Kottulinsky.

The 28-year-old made her STCC debut in 2017 with PWR Racing and finished 12th overall last year with two podium finishes.

“We are delighted to continue our cooperation with Mikaela,” said Daniel Haglöf, managing director of PWR Racing.

“She is one of the best drivers in Sweden, an important part of the team’s ambitions and a natural part of the PWR family.”

Åhlin-Kottulinsky is going to drive alongside already confirmed team-mate Robert Dahlgren, who finished second overall after a tough title fight with Rob Huff and Tobias Brink.

The team has also announced a name change for the STCC programme, going from SEAT Dealer Team to CUPRA Dealer Team.

“Our partnership with PWR Racing has been an important part of both SEAT and Cupra’s growth in the Swedish market. We look forward to more successful seasons together,” said Per Brinkenberg, brand manager at SEAT and Cupra Sweden.
