Privateer Cupra programme bolsters 2023 entry

Fiesta ST240 Champion Jenson Brickley will make the move up into TCR UK for the 2023 season at the wheel of a family-run Cupra Leon Competición TCR.

Brickley makes the step up into TCR having also previously secured victory in the BRSCC Fista Junior Championship – which he won in 2021 prior to make the move up to senior level competition.

The youngster is set to undertake an intensive test programme with the ex-Volcano Motorsport car in the coming months before the new season kicks off.

“I’m looking to hit the ground running as soon as I can, using the first couple of rounds to make sure I finish and get used to the racing as TCR UK is an extremely competitive championship,” he said. “As I get more seat time, I’m looking to make sure that I get some top-five finishes by the end of the year.

“TCR UK has really grown over the last two years and for both myself and the team, this is a natural step up from racing in Fiesta’s, especially with the BRSCC Fiesta Junior championship becoming an official feeder series this year. I’m really excited to get started!”
