Alexander Graff makes STCC comeback with Exion Racing

Alexander Graff returns to the STCC grid for the first time since 2013 as he will join Exion Racing for the 2024 season, driving a Volkswagen ID.3.

“It feels great to be back in STCC, especially when we make a historic shift to electric race cars. The guys and girls in Exion Racing are really nice and we have already found a good way of working together to build a foundation around our brand new cars,” said Graff.

Graff raced for Picko Troberg Racing in the 2023 STCC season, finishing 15th overall, and most recently raced in the NASCAR Euro Series, finishing second overall in 2022.

“We are excited to have Alexander on board, his experience alongside our young new talent will complement each other well. Alexander has competed in many different categories, from STCC to NASCAR and we look forward to working with him to fight for the top five this year,” said Kevin Engman, Team Manager of Exion Racing.

The 37-year-old finished third overall in yesterday’s official pre-season test at Ljungbyhed Park and will drive alongside team-mate Viktor Gustavsson this year, as well as a third yet to be confirmed team-mate.

“It’s just testing, but the feeling is actually good after the first runs,” said Graff.

“We have started to create a foundation to find the right way forward with the settings for the cars and we have of course still a lot to do. But it’s new for everyone and the new cars are just as fun to drive as I thought. Exion Racing may lack the experience that our competitors have, but I hope to contribute here and work purposefully with them to climb to the top – I don’t doubt for a second that we have the capacity to do that.”
