Aleksei Dudukalo has been dropped by LADA Sport Lukoil after one race and will be replaced by Mikhail Koslovskiy next weekend at Morocco.
The 36-year-old was responsible for both Ladas being forced to pack up and leave Monza early after colliding with team-mate James Thompson in the first part of qualifying. Dudukalo was attempting to pass Norbert Michelisz’s Honda and get behind his team-mate for the slipstream, but locked up into Turn 1 and crashed into the side of Thompson’s car.
As reported earlier, LADA Sport Lukoil Team Principal Viktor Shapovalov expected that Dudukalo would be replaced for the next round, whilst the team has to build at least one new car for the race after Thompson’s car was irreparably damaged.
Dudukalo’s replacement has now been confirmed as 23-year-old Mikhail Koslovskiy, who will drive the #8 Lada Granta from Morocco.
