Entry list for the 2014 Super TC 2000 Championship revealed

The provisional entry list for the 2014 Super TC 2000 Championship has been revealed, with a number of key driver and team changes for the season.

With José María López off to join Citroën in the FIA World Touring Car Championship, his position at the Equipo Petronas Fiat team has been filled by former Toyota driver Mariano Werner, as previously reported.

His position at Toyota Team Argentina has been filled by Esteban Guerrieri, who has driven for the team at the endurance rounds of the Championship before, but this will be the former single-seater specialists first season full-time in the Super TC 2000 Championship.

The Renault Lo Jack Team will field the same line-up as last season, with Championship runner-up Leonel Pernía joined again by Guillermo Ortelli, Emiliano Spataro and Fabian Yannantuoni.

Another key move is that of regular race winner Agustín Canapino. The 24-year-old departing the Equipo YPF Chevrolet team to join Peugeot, who will only retain Néstor Girolami from last season’s line-up. The team will also field a car for Julían Santero with a fourth driver to be confirmed.

Chevrolet will step up to four cars, but so far have only confirmed Franco Vivian at the team, with the other three drivers to be announced.

The Equipo Petrobras Honda team has left the Championship after a disappointing two seasons. Damián Fineschi has found a berth at the Peugeot Lequipe Junior team, while Ricardo Risatti and Christian Ledesma are left without drives.
