Petr Fulín joins Campos Racing at Marrakech

Reigning FIA ETCC S2000 champion Petr Fulín will race one of Campos Racing’s SEAT León WTCCs in the TC2 class at the upcoming meeting in Morocco.

The 37-year-old will drive as team-mate to John Filippi in one of the Spanish team’s SEATs, while the team will also run a pair of new Chevrolet RML Cruzes in the TC1 class for Hugo Valente and Dusan Borkovic.

Fulín will drive for Krenek Motorsport the following weekend in the ETCC, where he will begin the defence of his drivers’ title in that series TC2 class for normally aspirated cars. Four of the five ETCC meetings will run as support events on this year’s WTCC calendar, at Paul Ricard, Slovakia, Salzburg and Spa-Francorchamps.

Campos Racing have confirmed that Filippi and Fulín will be the only two SEATs they will field this weekend, meaning their third full season entry will be unused, reducing the number of competitors in the class to five, with the two Engstler BMWs and Nika Racing’s Honda the other cars in the class.
