Agustín Canapino heads Peugeot 1-2 in Viedma qualifying

Agustín Canapino headed a Peugeot 1-2 in the qualifying session for the Super TC 2000 weekend at Viedma in Argentina.

The Peugeot Lo Jack Team driver headed team-mate Néstor Girolami in dreadful weather conditions with over a second separating the two in the third and final qualifying session.

Norberto Fontana was the top Chevrolet driver in third position for team Equipo YPF Chevrolet while Julián Santero made it three Peugeots in the top five by claiming position four on the grid.

Guillermo Ortelli was fastest of the Renault drivers in fifth position, being 1.257 seconds from pole position.

The fastest of the Fiat drivers was Mariano Werner with his Fiat Linea in sixth position, right ahead of Equipo YPF Chevrolet driver Matías Muñoz Marchesi in seventh position.

Toyota failed to get a driver into the top ten with Esteban Guerrieri in eleventh position while Toyota Team Argentina team-mate and reigning champion Matías Rossi only managed 19th position.
