Chevrolet gain 20 kilos for Argentina

The RML built Chevrolet Cruze cars of the FIA World Touring Car Championship will be 20kg heavier for the forthcoming round at Termas de Río Hondo in Argentina.

The Chevrolet cars are the only make to have their compensation weight changed, after reducing the performance gap to the works Citroën cars to 0.5 seconds during the last three meetings, with Gianni Morbidelli even outqualifying them in Austria.

The Citroën C-Elysée keeps maximum weight of +60kg while the Chevrolet Cruze is only 20kg behind and the Honda Civic remains a further 20kg lighter.

The compensation weight calculations are based on the lap times of the previous three races: Austria, Russia and Belgium.
