Esteban Guerrieri takes first ever Super TC 2000 victory

Esteban Guerrieri claimed his first ever Super TC 2000 victory for Toyota Team Argentina at Saint Louis, crossing the finishing line just 0.612 seconds ahead of Fiat driver José Manuel Urcera in second position.

Guerrieri was in control of more or less the entire race, with Urcera getting close in the end, but not close enough to get past.

Fabian Yannantuoni claimed the final podium position for Team Peugeot Total Argentina, securing a podium of drivers all claiming their best ever result in the championship.

Emiliano Spataro was the top Renault driver in fourth position ahead of Chevrolet driver Lucas Colombo Russell in fifth position, making it five different make in the top five positions.

Nestor Girolami charged through the field from 16th on the grid to finish sixth, securing vital points to the championship where he is second overall. The Peugeot driver shares second position in the championship with Matias Rossi who finished right behind him in the race in seventh position.

Facundo Chapur keeps the championship lead after finishing eighth despite suffering from a puncture earlier in the race. Fiat colleague Facundo Ardusso finished ninth with Ignacio Julián rounding off the top ten.

Chapur heads the drivers’ championship on 101 points with Girolami and Rossi second on 92 points and Canapino fourth on 83 points.

The Super TC 2000 continues on August 30th at Santa Fe.
