“Pole was the key to win,” says Facundo Ardusso

After winning first feature race of the Super TC 2000 weekend in Rosario, Renault Sport’s Facundo Ardusso expressed that his pole position was key to his victory at the ‘Juan Manuel Fangio’ circuit.

“It’s a moment of joy, my hometown is near here and it feels special, the car was really nice today during the whole day. The qualifying result has simplified everything for the race,” said Ardusso to TouringCarTimes.com.

“The restarts were an important point, I could do well and prevent Chapur, Pernía or Werner from overtaking me. Of course the car’s pace during the race and the start were important points on the way to victory, but qualifying was completely essential.”

As for Sunday’s race, Ardusso concluded: “We’ve shown today that we have a very strong pace, as such, we are candidates to win again”.

Sunday’s schedule in Rosario includes qualifying session at 9:05 local time, and feature race (31 laps) at 12:20.
